I'm a NAN!!

Tonight I became a Nan for the first time. My eldest daughter, Jess and her husband Jared had their first baby, Melody May at 5:26pm this afternoon. She weighs 6 pound 13 ounces and has a mass of hair!! I cut the cord - OMG!! She is so beautiful and alert and strong.
Am I bragging too much already - SURE AM!!

Hi from Wendy

Recently I went to Ireland on Long Service Leave. Yes, I have been with CCCC now for over 10 years!!!
Ireland is very green, as you can see from this picture. However, this is green weed on a beach just north of Dublin, so it is not so enticing. Can't beat our beautiful Coffs Coast beaches, that's for sure.

Where is the teacher???

Here is Jennifer Grainger, our Class 1 ESL teacher, having her hair plaited by 2 of the students, Moza and Bijoux, both from the Congo.

New Computer Lab - YEAH!!!!

Here is the proof. We have a new computer lab. Being installed right now.
Thanks Troy!!

My Dog

This is my dog Gipsy. She is a very well read, Golden Retriever. She is getting a little old now - 11 next month, she is not as quick to get up and moving this winter - but food always makes her pay attention.

Our College

We have moved quite a few times in the last ten years - from the mud huts, to Gordon Street, to the Jetty - and now to the dizzy heights of City Square. It's great for our students to access, lots of room, wonderful Cafe selection, fantastic for food on market day (especially bananas) and maybe just a bit too close to the clothing shops.

Welcome to Coffs Coast Community College Blog Spot. This is a spot for staff to post thougts, events, dreams, highlights, lowlights (please keep it clean) - and any other information you would like to share - both personal and work related. We would love to hear your news.

Part-time work in a Community College can sometimes leave people feeling isolated from each other, especially if you are comming to work one or two evenings a week and not really touching base with other staff members here. Please feel free to drop into the office and say hello any day - but in the mean time - leave us a message on this blog.

Kind Regards
Georgie
